The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Today is my 27th Birthday, a friend Ask me today.. what do you feel?? and I say .. well ... Same as yesterday =p

I got only one gift from my awesome younger brother which made my day ..

Sure there were some changes over the past year but I still I look the same, kinda act the same .. it's just one year older, yes I didn't made new awesome paintings here lately but I did a lot of good things in my life .. and I become wiser, smarter.. the more I grow up the more we LVL up and get more experience..

anyway .. I'm still young .. still TwentySevenTeen =p

and I always like to say .. Age is just a number, Souls Stay the same ..

Aww how horrible! Everyone should have a nice birthday! We usually celebrate everyone's birthday with a surprise party theme :lmao: although this year we weren't in Kuwait for my older sister's birthday, so we made her a cake before we left! You should have bought yourself a little cupcake

Yes you're right, everyone should have a nice birthday.. I always try to make nice gifts to my best friends and family, I like to make an unforgettable birthday.. I expected from some people to at least call me or invite me for dinner .. didn't thought about buying cupcakes for myself .. stayed all day with breakfast only :B
I'll never expect anything next time :lonely:

That's really kind of you, making people happy is the best gift ever :)
and I looove surprises but I rarely get any =p
